I just read the wikipedia entry on “charm quark” in an attempt to discover why it is called a charm quark and not one word in the entire thing made sense to me. I’m voting for “strange quark” just because I like it better than “top quark.” (America’s Next Top Quark!)
PS: The last time I went on a blind date it was with a guy who looked like Quark from Deep Space Nine.
